Serious accident in Durrës, motorcycle ends up in canal

A serious accident was recorded last evening on "Vala e Detit" street, where a motorcycle with two people went off the road and ended up in the main sewage canal.

According to preliminary information, one of the people on the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he is reported to be in critical condition.

Residents of the area have raised concerns about the condition of "Vala e Detit" and "Azem Hajdari" streets, stating that the lack of public lighting, signage, and damaged infrastructure make traffic dangerous, especially at night.

According to them, there are also open manholes and damaged sidewalks in this segment, while accidents have become a recurring problem due to the high number of vehicles circulating every day.
