A large-scale fire has engulfed an area of reeds on Tale beach, causing the flames to spread rapidly along a wide stretch of coastline.
The fire broke out around 08:00 in the morning, and, favored by strong winds, the flames spread rapidly across the entire strip covered with reeds, in a width ranging from 500 meters to 1 kilometer.
The Lezha fire services have arrived at the scene, and are working to isolate the fire source.
However, intervention in some areas appears difficult due to the marshy terrain located between the beach and the reed area.
Several local service structures in the beach area are also located near the fire, which are being monitored by authorities. Fire services have been stationed nearby to intervene in the event of an escalation of the situation or the risk of further spread of the flames.
