Morocco is the first team to secure a place in the World Cup quarterfinals, after convincingly defeating Canada 3-0.
The challenge held in Houston was characterized by high tempo and strong duels on the field, with the Moroccans showing more demand and quality in their game.
The first goal came at the start of the second half, when in the 50th minute, Ounahi unlocked the score, giving the North African team the advantage.
The Canadians tried to react to restore balance, but in the 82nd minute, after a quick counterattack, Ounahi scored his second personal goal, making the most of Brahim Diaz's assist and practically sealing the fate of the match.
In the final minutes, Rahimi joined the celebration, scoring the third goal and sealing Morocco's 3-0 triumph.
With this success, Morocco becomes the first team to qualify for the quarterfinals, where they will face the winner of the Paraguay-France match. On the other hand, Canada ends its World Cup adventure, closing its first tournament as host country with dignity.
