Lawyer Matlija replies to Rama: You are not suited to the role of certifier of

Lawyer Dorjan Matlija has reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama, after the latter commented on social media about his decision to distance himself from the protest organizing group. In his post, Rama described this as a right decision, although, according to him, it was taken late.

Through a reaction on Facebook, Matlija responded to the prime minister in harsh tones, stating that Rama cannot take on the role of "certifier of constructiveness", while, according to him, he has a police officer under his command who "drags citizens and behaves as if he is taking revenge on them, not as if he is protecting order".

The lawyer emphasizes that the negotiation process with the European Union belongs to the Albanian state and not, as he puts it, "a political court." Matlija further describes Rama's rule as "criminal," citing as reasons the criminal records that, according to him, weigh on the government, connections with the privileged, dirty money, and violations of the law.

Focusing on the Vjosa-Narta project, Matlija states that there can be no dialogue with a prime minister who, according to him, has declared that "as long as I am here, the project will be done." He adds that the European Parliament's position also makes the end of this debate clear.

Reply to Edi Rama's Facebook profile.

In response to what you wrote, I would first say that the role of certifier of constructiveness is not at all suitable for someone who has a police officer who drags citizens into the street and treats them as if he is taking revenge, not as if he is maintaining order. As for point 1, in negotiations with the European Union it is the Albanian state and not some political court. And this state will be in negotiations even if it comes to the point that one day the prime minister ends up in prison. This government is called criminal for many reasons, from the countless criminal files on its back, to being the node where the string of the privileged, dirty money and violation of laws is tied, which when the case is even annulled as laws.

As for point 2, for Vjose-Narte, what is the need for dialogue? To turn it into a monologue? Dialogue is not done with a person who says “as long as I am here, the project will be done”. There is also no room for any dialogue when the European Parliament makes it clear how the debate ends. Ultimately, if the government draws Albania without the Albanians, the latter have the right to draw an Albania without this government. And those who draw, usually do not dialogue with the drawing. You did this, this is being done to you. It is that simple.
