Clashes between protesters and police, some escorted, including activist Gent

Tensions were registered this morning near the Parliament, shortly before the start of the plenary session, where police intervened to disperse the protesters and escorted some of them.

Among those detained was IT expert and activist Gent Progni. Footage from the scene shows a protester surrounded by police officers, with his shirt torn during the intervention.

The situation became tense after some protesters threw eggs at Socialist Party deputies, who were in a bar near the Parliament building and were entering Parliament.

According to reports from the scene, there were also physical clashes between police and protesters. One of the protesters was seen with a bloody nose after the officers intervened.
