New details have emerged from the fatal accident with two victims on the Durrës-Tirana highway, where a van went off the road and ended up in a canal.

The Head of the Traffic Police, Perlat Vatoci, in a statement to the media, announced that the balance of the incident has been aggravated.

Two people have lost their lives, while 15 others have been injured, one of them in serious condition. The latter, according to Vatoc, is a child and is currently in the operating room.

Previously, the driver is suspected of having suffered a heart attack and as a result, lost control of the vehicle.
