Tension in front of the Parliament, protesters block three entrances and clash

The civic protest held today in Tirana has been moved to in front of the Parliament premises, where the situation has continued to remain tense throughout the morning.

Sources at the scene indicate that protesters have blocked three of the entrances to the Parliament building, surrounding the premises where plenary sessions are held. The main entrance has also been blocked, making circulation and access to the institution difficult.

As a result of this situation, police forces intervened to clear the space and guarantee the normal functioning of the institution, clashing with the crowd of protesters.

The protest, which began around 10:00 am, was announced the day before and has continued to develop with tensions throughout the developments near the Parliament.
