A little later, the Presidency of the Republic published the official decree, which stated that the day off was declared in honor of the Paraguayan representative's historic achievement.

The Paraguay national team has qualified for the World Cup, after eliminating Germany on penalties in the round of 16.

With this victory, Paraguay secured a place in the round of 16, where they will face the winner of the duel between France and Sweden.
