Rama attacks protesters: I don't accept charlatans telling me how Albania

Prime Minister Edi Rama has once again attacked the protesters, declaring that he does not accept, as he put it, "charlatans or hypocrites" telling him how Albania should be run.

In a statement on the podcast "Flasim", Rama said that not all participants in the protests have the same reasons, citing the influence of social networks, "nationalist impulses" and "manipulations" as factors that, according to him, affect the mobilization of citizens.

"I want to say it very clearly and directly, this is the protest that interests me, that angers me and also motivates me to continue my fight. I don't like the protest of fakes or pretense, it disgusts me, it angers me, if I weren't in your place, dear Amos, I would be in the protest myself.

I feel your anger. Not everyone is protesting for the same reason. There are those who are not driven by likes, influencers, blind nationalist impulses, manipulations or missions to manipulate others, but by a sense of distress that turns into anger and then explodes.

"I follow every message that comes to my phone. Those who have followed me will follow me, in terms of debate. I do not accept any charlatan or person introduced by others, or hypocrites that I have seen at work to take the microphone and tell me how Albania is done, I do not accept this,"  he said.
