28-year-old man attempts to kill his cohabitant's mother with a car in Lezha, arrested by the Police

 

A serious incident was recorded in the early hours of the morning in Lezha, where a 28-year-old man is suspected of attempting to kill his cohabitant's mother with a vehicle after a conflict with her family members.

The young man was located and arrested by the police, while the injured woman was taken to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where she is under the care of doctors.

The police operation codenamed "Reaction" is finalized.

He attempted to kill his cohabitant's mother by hitting her with a vehicle, causing bodily harm, and fled the scene. Thanks to the immediate response of the Police, the 28-year-old was caught and put in handcuffs.

The vehicle used in the incident has been seized.

The Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes against the Person at the Lezha Police Department, in cooperation with the Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Lezha Police Commissariat and the "Eagle" Special Force Sector, finalized the police operation codenamed "Reaction", as a result of which the citizen CB, 28 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

From the first investigative actions it results that, at around 02:05, in the "Skënderbeg" neighborhood, in Lezha, the 28-year-old went by vehicle to pick up his cohabitant. At this moment, her family members came out and, for reasons related to family relations, he is suspected of having hit the cohabitant's mother, citizen KH, 43 years old, with his vehicle, causing bodily injuries, and then left the scene.

As a result of the rapid response and intensive actions of the Police, within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Reaction", citizen CB, 28 years old, was located, arrested and put in handcuffs for the criminal offense of "Murder due to family relations", remaining in the attempted stage.

The injured person was transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where she continues to be under the care of doctors.

The vehicle used in the incident was seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Lezha, for further action.
