Citizens repeat 5 demands to the Prime Minister: We want a technical government

The 26th day of the civic protest has begun, with protesters gathering in "Skënderbej" Square, from where they then continued the march on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard and stationed in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where the next speeches are being held.

Protest participants have continued to articulate their demands, emphasizing that civic mobilization will continue until they are met.

During the rally, the possibility of extending the protests to other times of the day, including the morning, was also discussed, a proposal that has not yet been confirmed.

In their speeches, the protesters reiterated the movement's five main demands, which remain the linchpin of the ongoing protest.

Among them is the immediate and non-negotiable resignation of the prime minister and the government, as well as the creation of a transitional, non-partisan technical government with a 12-month mandate.

Another important point is related to constitutional amendments aimed at the equality of citizens before the law, their approval through a popular referendum, as well as interventions in the Electoral Code, the law on the financing of political parties, and the limitation of the prime minister's term to no more than two terms throughout his or her political life.

It also demands the cancellation of the amendments to the law on "Protected Areas" and "Cultural Heritage", the repeal of the so-called "Mountain Package", and the removal of the legal status for strategic investments.
