Tabaku: Sheshi has been speaking for 25 days, the majority pretends not to

Democratic MP Jorida Tabaku has reiterated the request at the Conference of Mayors to hold a debate on the motion regarding the protest and citizens' demands.

During her speech, Tabaku stated that Parliament is out of touch with reality.

According to her, the protesters' demands are concerns that, according to her, are also presented in the European Parliament's report.

While listing several points that citizens and the EP report address, Tabaku called for their voices to be heard and for protesters not to be attacked.

"This Parliament is totally out of touch with reality. If you, as the majority, want to behave like this, we, as the opposition, will not allow it. You cannot behave normally in this hall, when the square in front of it has been filled with citizens for 25 days who are demanding the resignation of the government and the prime minister, and who have concrete demands."

The voice of this protest has reached the European Parliament and their concerns have become part of the latest reports of the European Parliament. You have the report and I am quoting it here. It is the European Parliament that has discussed the elections and corruption.

Protesters speak of the difficult economic situation, a concern that has also been raised by our European partners. They have also spoken of laws that treat public property as the spoils of corruption.

"You have the law on strategic investments, which you have been pushing back for 10 years. Meanwhile, you have no real strategic investment, but only so-called investors who are your clients. Therefore, listen to the voice of the protesters and stop attacking them," she said, among other things.
