Ronaldo sets historic World Cup record

Cristiano Ronaldo has once again entered the history of world football, after setting a special record during the 2026 World Cup, becoming the first player to score in six different editions of the biggest football tournament.

In Portugal's match against Uzbekistan, the 41-year-old striker scored the first goal of the match, giving his team the lead and recording another milestone in his remarkable career. He would later add another goal, taking his tally of World Cup goals to 10.

Ronaldo has scored at every World Cup since his debut in Germany 2006, continuing in South Africa 2010, Brazil 2014, Russia 2018, Qatar 2022 and now the 2026 World Cup, an unprecedented streak in the history of international football.

Meanwhile, although Lionel Messi remains the top scorer in World Cup history with 18 goals, he has scored in five editions, making it impossible for him to equal Ronaldo's record.

With this achievement, Ronaldo further strengthens his legend as one of the greatest figures in the history of football.
