Trial for the 700 thousand euro tender, Benet Beci does not go to the GJKKO

The GJKKO has postponed the trial of the mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci, to July 2, at 3:00 PM. The hearing scheduled for this Monday did not take place, as some of the defendants and their legal representatives were absent from the courtroom.

Benet Beci himself was not present at the hearing, while he was represented by his lawyer, Ervin Metalla.

Only two defendants, Premtim Dauti and Rudin Gjoni, participated in the hearing.

Following the request of the Special Prosecution Office, the court decided to postpone the session due to the lack of defense of some defendants, while warning the parties to avoid unjustified absences during the process.

Criminal proceedings have been registered against Beci for the criminal offense of "Violation of equality of participants in public tenders or auctions", committed in collaboration. On April 23, 2025, SPAK prosecutor Dritan Prençi officially named the mayor of Shkodra as a defendant.
