Rita Petro: Why Mimoza Ahmeti remains elusive to prejudices

The participation of renowned poet Mimoza Ahmeti in "Ferma VIP" has sparked numerous debates, but for writer Rita Petro this is fully consistent with Ahmeti's character and life.

Invited to the "Pasvon" podcast, Petro said that Mimoza Ahmeti has never accepted to live up to the expectations that society places on public figures or intellectuals.

"Moza doesn't fit into frames. When you expect her to read a poem, she can sing you a song. This is Mimoza Ahmeti," said Petro.

According to her, Ahmeti comes from a rich cultural and literary tradition, but has always refused to play the role of the "heavy intellectual" who stays away from people and everyday life.

Petro praised Ahmeti's ability to communicate naturally with the public and to use humor without complexes, breaking the stereotype of the writer isolated from reality.

Another topic discussed was Ahmeti's statement about his preference for younger boys. According to Petros, this should not be seen as an age issue, but as a search for energy and vitality.

"It's not that she seeks young age, but the energy of life. Moza has always refused to grow old in spirit," she said.

For Rita Petron, it is precisely this freedom to not obey labels that is the reason why Mimoza Ahmeti continues to remain one of the most unique and discussed figures in Albanian culture.
