Escorts in prisons/ 17 cases of special meetings under investigation! The phenomenon was revealed during the 2025 elections

The introduction of escort girls for special meetings, in Albanian prisons during the pre-election and post-election period of May 11, 2025, has led to the opening of several criminal files in the prosecutor's offices of Durrës, Fier, Korça, Elbasan, Shkodra and Tirana.

The phenomenon of girls entering Albanian prisons from outside spread widely during the election period, where Albanian ShowBizz girls and those of foreign nationality have breached prison security by entering special rooms for high-risk prisoners.

In Korça, Elbasan and the other aforementioned prosecutors, investigations have been underway since July 2025, when the flagrant case of a special meeting between life-sentenced prisoner Laert Haxhiu and Kosovo model Ziza Pajaziti was revealed in the media.

According to verifications conducted by journalist Elton Qyno, who also uncovered the case of Ziza Pajaziti, a total of 17 entry-exit procedures have been taken under investigation by various prosecutors.

The prosecutors' offices that have jurisdiction over several prisons where this phenomenon has occurred appear to have the documentation and have questioned specific individuals about this situation.

Prison lawyers and prison police chiefs have been questioned, providing clarification on specific cases of how the girls managed to breach prison security and receive special meetings with high-risk prisoners.

The most recent case made public by DP MP Flamur Noka was the situation of a girl who, as Noka claimed, was an escort entering Peqin prison for a special meeting with convicts.

From the verifications carried out, it results that the girl in question entered the prison premises around July 2025, a time when the director of this prison was the late Edmond Llabani.

Llabani took up the position of acting director of Peqin prison in April 2025 and then on January 15, 2026, he was appointed director of Durrës prison.

We recall that the phenomenon of girls entering Albanian prisons from abroad has been ascertained by the General Directorate of Prisons itself, which has referred the investigative materials to the relevant prosecutors' offices, which are already conducting investigations into several officials.

The most common way these girls have entered prisons for special meetings is through the use of notarized declarations of cohabitation with different convicts, they have entered as legal lawyers chosen by the convicts themselves, to the formatting of documents as sociologists and psychologists.
