DP requests urgent interpellation with Rama regarding the protesters' 5

The Democratic Party has requested an urgent interpellation with Prime Minister Rama, regarding the 5 demands presented in the civic protest.

Specifically, citizens demand:

1. The resignation of the Government;

2. Repeal of the status and legal framework for strategic investments;

3. Repeal of the legal framework for the Mountains Package;

4. Cancellation of amendments to the law on protected areas;

5. Annulment of the changes to the law on Albanian cultural heritage.

The DP parliamentary group, in the interpellation document, requests that Rama inform the Assembly "on the measures taken by the Council of Ministers to address the concerns identified in the European Parliament Resolution on the 3 points above, which also turn out to be requests of citizens who have been peacefully protesting for about 3 weeks."

The European Parliament itself expressed serious concern about the construction of the airport in the Narta area (near the Vjosa delta), and requested a moratorium on projects affecting the Vjosa-Narta area.
