Democratic Party MPs have blocked the Parliament's rostrum after requesting to respond to the head of the SP Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, but their request was not accepted, with the argument that it is not provided for by the regulations.

The situation became tense during Balla's speech, as Democratic MPs opposed the normal continuation of the session.

The opposition accuses the majority of ignoring the 18-day protest in Tirana, where protesters are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. According to the DP deputies, the Parliament should treat this issue as a priority and not continue its work without a debate on the protesters' demands.
