Debate erupts between Korresh and Zegjine Çaushi: One enters the Assembly

The Laws Committee meeting was accompanied by retorts between Democratic Party MP, Saimir Korreshi, and Socialist Party MP, Zegjine Çaushi, diverting the debate from the agenda for several minutes.

The exchange of accusations began after Çaushi commented on Korresh's mandate, telling her: "She barely won by pushing her." This brought the reaction of the Democratic MP, who questioned the way the Socialist MP had entered the Parliament.

The debate continued in ironic tones, as the two MPs exchanged comments regarding the areas they represent and their parliamentary mandate.

Excerpts from the debate:

Korreshi:  "I didn't talk about Roskovec, about those things in Lushnje that I know, I'm right. When I come to Roskovec, then you..."

Çaushi:  “Come whenever you want.”

Korreshi:  "You invited me..."

Çaushi:  “Yes, of course, come on.”

At this moment, the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, intervened, requesting that the discussion return to the issues being considered by the committee.

Manja:  "Mr. Korreshi, are you done with the questions? Continue with the questions."

Korreshi: " Are you going to drop me off in Lushnje or are you going to take me to Roskovec?"

Manja:  “It’s better to stay in Lushnje.”

Afterwards, Korreshi addressed the socialist MP with accusations regarding her parliamentary mandate.

Korreshi – Çaushi about the deputy mandate: "You didn't win it yourself. Bela told her: 'Take this away'. You didn't get it. Someone from Lushnja resigned. They wanted you for Gaz. Well, be careful with me! She resigned because they said: 'Hello! Comrade Zegjine will come in soon'. Let the Albanians know. You won nothing, but I didn't win."

After the intervention of the meeting chairmen, the discussions continued with the anticipated order of the Laws Committee's work.
