The Special Court has confirmed the "prison arrest" measure for Moisi Habilaj, on charges of drug trafficking. Habilaj has closed his mouth in front of Judge Elsa Ulliri, while the latter decided to uphold the decision given earlier by the former Serious Crimes Court.

On December 26, 2018, the Serious Crimes Court imposed the measure of "prison arrest" on him for the criminal offenses of "Production and sale of narcotics", "Trafficking in narcotics", committed in collaboration in the form of a structured criminal group, as well as "Structured criminal group".

On January 23 of this year, the Special Court found Moisi Habilaj guilty and sentenced him to 10 years in prison.

Habilaj, wanted for years, has also been sentenced in the Italian state to over 12 years in prison for participating in an armed criminal organization for the purpose of drug trafficking.

Moisi Habilaj led a criminal group that dealt with drug trafficking between Albania and Italy. In addition, the investigation at the time also exposed his connection with the then Minister of the Interior, Sajmir Tahiri.
