The Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime has remanded in custody Eralbi Breçani, who was extradited from Spain two days ago. Breçani is accused of being part of the group of Ergys Dashi and Ervin Mata.
We recall that in a secret operation by Interpol Tirana, Eralbi Breçani was brought in handcuffs to Rinas airport on June 13 by Interpol Madrid officers.
The son of the former officer, who was also arrested during the SPAK operation three years ago but was later released for health reasons, is accused of international drug trafficking.
The charges against them were for a structured criminal group and trafficking from South America to Europe and Albania, while investigations are underway by SPAK and GJKKO.
