A person was shot dead in Mirdita, the victim was identified

A serious event shook Mirdita this morning.

Police report that one person was killed by gunfire.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred on the road leading to Spaç. The victim has been identified as citizen Valter Lleshi, 45 years old.

It is learned that he was found dead inside the Toyota car, while the circumstances of the incident still remain unclear.

At around 07:10, in the village of Shkorret, Mirditë, on the Reps–Spaç road, citizen V. Ll., around 45 years old, was found in a vehicle, suspected of being killed with a gunshot wound.

Immediately after receiving the notification, the Police services went to the scene and intensive checks in the area are continuing to locate and capture the perpetrator(s).

Meanwhile, a special investigative group has been established and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working intensively to capture and administer any evidence that will serve the investigation, with the aim of fully clarifying the event, legally documenting it, and identifying and capturing the perpetrator(s)," the police statement said.
