Anti-drug operation in Istanbul, 22 people arrested, including actress Beren

Twenty-two people, including several celebrities from Turkey's entertainment and media sectors, were detained in an anti-drug operation carried out on Thursday morning, as part of an investigation led by the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office.

The operation was part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, coordinated by prosecutors in Istanbul. Police teams carried out simultaneous raids at several different locations in the city, resulting in the detention of 22 suspects.

Among the people taken into custody are singer Kenan Doğulu, actress Beren Saat, social media personality Kerimcan Durmaz, singer and model Ayşe Hatun Önal, television personality Ozan Doğulu, singer Berdan Mardini, actor Enis Arıkan and influencer Selin Ciğerci, according to information provided by the investigation.

Other detainees include Tolga Çam, Ferhan Kaya, Murat Saygı, Enis Ahmet Onat, Ahmet Karoğlu, Emre Tari, Hasan Vatan, Mehmet Cem Karcı, Reyhan Küçükyeğen, Yaşar İpek, Mehmet Yıldız, Tessy Ramos Correira, Rafet Eren Yorulmazer and Ali Efe Bezci.

Authorities have not yet released detailed information regarding the charges against each of the suspects. The procedures for the detainees at the police department are still ongoing.

The Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office announced that the investigation remains active and that work on the case is continuing.
