Five people have been arrested by Kosovo authorities as part of Operation "Reçaku II", which is related to investigations into war crimes committed during the conflict in Kosovo.

In a press conference, representatives of the Special Prosecution Office and Kosovo Police confirmed that the arrests were made by court order and that the suspects are related to the events being investigated in the context of the Recak massacre. According to authorities, the arrested are Kosovo citizens of Serb ethnicity, while another suspect remains at large.

During the operation, materials and evidence were seized that investigators consider important for solving the case. The prosecution announced that the suspects are suspected of having been part of units led by Goran Radosavljevic during the war in Kosovo.

Investigators have used a range of materials to identify the individuals involved, including archival television footage. Authorities stressed that the investigation into the “Reçaku II” case will continue in the coming days and weeks.
