Rama in Brussels, diaspora awaits him with protest on the day of the conference

The Albanian diaspora will descend on Brussels in protest on Tuesday, July 14, on an important day for Albania's European integration process, when an intergovernmental conference between Albania and the European Union takes place.

The rally is expected to be held in front of EU institutions, where organizers aim to convey their concerns about the political situation in the country. Albanians living abroad say they will seek the attention of European institutions on issues related to the functioning of democracy, the independence of institutions and the standards of the rule of law.

According to the organizers, the process of rapprochement with the European Union should not be seen only as a technical journey, but should be accompanied by real reforms and respect for democratic principles.

Participants are expected to raise their voices for free elections, political pluralism, and independent institutions, demanding that these issues not be left on the back burner during negotiations with the EU.
