A 44-year-old man was seriously injured after an accident that occurred in neighborhood no. 4 of Saranda, while he was working to repair the roof of a building.
According to preliminary information, it is suspected that Besnik Lika fell from the roof during the works, suffering serious injuries.
Hospital sources indicate that the 44-year-old has suffered a fracture in the thoracic spine, accompanied by paralysis of the lower limbs. He is in serious condition and initially received first aid in the emergency room of Saranda Hospital.
Due to his condition, doctors have decided to immediately transport him by helicopter to the University Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he will undergo specialized treatment.
