Kurti invites opposition leaders to a meeting to create new institutions

Kosovo's acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has launched political consultations following the certification of the election results. Kurti sent invitations for a meeting this morning to the leaders of the three parliamentary opposition parties, the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Alliance.

Kurti's cabinet has confirmed to the media that the invitations were sent one day after the official certification of the election results.

Through these meetings, the leader of Vetëvendosje aims to open a dialogue on the formation of new institutions resulting from the June 7 elections.

According to constitutional deadlines, the inaugural session of the 11th legislature must be held within 30 days of the start of the term, which began counting from Wednesday.

In the last elections, Albin Kurti's Vetevendosje Movement secured 53 seats in the Kosovo Assembly, PDK 22 seats, LDK 18 seats, and the Alliance 7 seats.
