Meta seeks 134 witnesses, GJKKO delivers decision today

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) will hold its next hearing today at 10:00 AM against former President Ilir Meta, who is facing charges of corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets.

In today's session, the Court is expected to decide which witnesses will be admitted, after Meta and his defense presented a list of 134 witnesses, including Prime Minister Edi Rama. On the other hand, SPAK also listed 110 names of witnesses.

The process takes place at a time when Meta has changed legal representation. After the last session, lawyer Kujtim Cakrani withdrew from the defense, while the leader of the Freedom Party himself announced that he had requested a lawyer exclusively engaged in the case, arguing that the file requires a dedicated defense due to its volume.

It is learned that Bujar Musta will be the new lawyer of former President Ilir Meta, who appeared at the Criminal Court this morning.
