Rape of 17-year-old in Fier, her mother speaks out: I can't forgive the

The mother of the 17-year-old who was raped by three female peers in Fier has spoken for the first time about the difficult moments her family experienced after the incident.
She says that on June 8, the girl had gone out as usual to attend a hairdressing course and the family was waiting for her to return home. Instead, they received a call informing them that the 17-year-old was in the hospital, where she had gone alone to seek medical help after the violence she had suffered.

When she went to pick her up, the mother immediately noticed the marks on her daughter's face. Her eyes and chin were black, and her hair was disheveled. At first, the girl tried to hide what had happened, telling her that it was nothing serious, but her mother's insistence made her burst into tears and tell the truth.

According to the 17-year-old's account, a girl she knew superficially approached her after leaving the course and said, "Come with us, we have a surprise." Suspecting nothing, she followed them, but moments later she was raped by three of her peers.

The mother says she asked her daughter if she had had any conflicts with the girls or if she had provoked them, but the answer was negative. According to her, the daughter had no problems with anyone, lived her life between home and school, and had no reason to get involved in conflicts.

Immediately after the confession, the family contacted the Fier Police to file a report, while the minor received the necessary medical treatment.

The mother says that the most serious consequences are not only physical, but above all psychological. According to her, the daughter continues to live in fear, cries often, trembles, is withdrawn and is no longer the same as before the incident.

She confesses that she is also going through a very difficult emotional period, having not found peace for more than a month. According to her, the thought that the girl was asking for help at that moment and that she was not there for her is the greatest pain she carries on her shoulders.

In her interview, the mother says she cannot understand why her daughter became the object of such severe violence and hopes that the investigations will reveal the full motives of the incident.

Asked about the apology made by the mother of one of the girls involved, she said that she understands the pain of every parent, but at the moment she does not feel able to forgive.

"Only I know how much I'm suffering from this event. I cry secretly so that my children don't see me. I haven't slept for a month and I only think about my daughter," she said.

The incident became public after footage of the violence was shared on social media, causing widespread public reaction. Meanwhile, the Police and the Prosecution have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the case, while authorities have appealed for the videos not to be published, in order to protect the minor and avoid her re-victimization.
