Racism scandal against Mbappé! Paraguayan senator severely insults him,

A major scandal has erupted after the match between France and Paraguay at the World Cup, where Paraguayan senator Celeste Amarilla de Boccia became the protagonist, making offensive and racist statements towards France captain Kylian Mbappé.

The statements that sparked the scandal

In posts on the social network X, the senator used offensive and racist language towards the French attacker, causing strong reactions in public opinion and in international media.

Her statements have been deemed unacceptable and have sparked a wave of criticism, turning the situation into an issue of international proportions.

"This savage hasn't even learned to write. Instead of his mother's milk, he's been sucking coconuts, and the most educated beings he's ever heard of have been chimpanzees. You should have shown him the middle finger, Orlando Gill (Paraguay's goalkeeper). I do it in the Senate and nothing happens!"

As if that weren't enough, the Paraguayan politician continued with another, even more serious post: "A colonized Cameroonian, pretending to be French, full of anger, newly rich, arrogant and ugly. He was nervous and terrified throughout the match, like his entire team. They didn't manage to score a single goal, they only won by luck... The only thing that many of us point out to 'Albirroja' (the Paraguayan national) is that they didn't give her a good slap in the face at the end of the match. And I'm not even a football fan."

Mbappé's reaction

The French star immediately reacted to the insults, describing the senator's behavior as unacceptable and shameful.

He stressed that public and political figures should not spread hate speech and racism.

: “Ms. Celeste Amarilla, you are a despicable woman, unworthy of your duty. You do not represent Paraguay, this country that radiated passion and honor throughout the tournament. Through your carelessness and open racism, the whole world has already forgotten the historical journey and the efforts of your players, to pave the way for an incompetent woman who displays the worst image of her country. I will never allow people like you the freedom to spread hatred and racism throughout the world.”

Official reaction from France

The scandal has also taken on an institutional dimension, as the French Minister of Sports has strongly condemned the Paraguayan senator's statements.

According to her, the attacks on Mbappé are "disgusting and unacceptable", especially when they come from a political representative, emphasizing that they contradict the values of equality and respect.

"These comments are disgusting, shameful and all the more unacceptable because they come from a political figure. By attacking Kylian Mbappé, she is attacking everything our captain embodies and everything our country stands for: freedom, equality and fraternity."

Post-match event

We recall that the tension started on the field, where Mbappé was hit with a ball in the back by Paraguayan goalkeeper Orlando Gill after the final whistle, where the latter declared after the match:  "This is football... the ball can pass, but the player cannot ." However, what seemed like a fierce sporting rivalry has now turned into a serious international racism scandal.
