University applications start at the end of July, how will the process develop?

Applications for the university will begin on July 27 and will last until August 1, 2026. High school graduates who intend to pursue higher education will have the opportunity to compete in three rounds for study programs.

The process will take place through the U-Albania portal, and before applying, high school graduates must pay the application fee of 2,000 lek. This payment can be made from July 3 to 26.

According to the Albanian Academic Network, after July 20, grades from the three years of high school and the results of the State Matura will be entered into the system, which graduates will be able to verify before the start of applications.

Each candidate will be able to choose up to 10 study programs, according to their preferences. The application will be completed online from any device with internet access, inside or outside Albania, while for high school graduates who need assistance, the process can also be completed on high school premises.

After the application is confirmed, the data cannot be changed. For candidates applying to the branch where the competition is held, the authorities ask them to carefully follow the deadlines and dates of their holding.

The registration process will take place in three rounds. The second round will be held from September 15 to 17, 2026, while the third round will be held from October 8 to 21, 2026.

Students will also have the right to deregister within two days of the end of each round, if they wish to enroll in another study program.
