Murder in Shkodra/ Relatives: Peaceful family, no problems

A serious event shocked the community this Thursday in the city of Shkodra.

A 62-year-old man, identified as Shqefën Ziqi, shot and killed his wife, Bardhe Ziqi, 55, a few meters from the family store, in the "Mark Lula" neighborhood.

Relatives tell the media that the Ziqi family has not had any arguments, and they even describe them as a polite and non-problematic couple.

The cousin of the suspected perpetrator, Zojë Nika, says she has never heard arguments between the couple and that today's event has shocked her.

"A very good man, and a good woman. In this neighborhood, if you ask around, no one can say a bad word about that woman. We feel very sorry for her. They were both good. Bad luck. I have a cousin, and I have a lot of respect for her, because she was a wise woman. I never heard any arguments. They went very well," she says.
