Gynecologist: If Albanian girls gave birth in their 20s, infertility centers

Gynecologist Shkëlqim Balili stated that "one of the most fundamental problems that Albania has today is infertility."

According to him, this problem would not exist if motherhood began at a young age.

"If it were like 30 years ago, when pregnancy was at 22, 25, 27, 29, 30 years old, all the infertility centers in Tirana would be closed. Because today there is one thing that has led to this big problem: girls and women want to become mothers at an older age," Balili said in the "Dita Jonë" studio on A2CNN.

"Second, the quality of the egg has changed. Thanks to these factors that we mentioned, the foods we eat, the diets we use, the quality of the egg has decreased. God gives a woman's eggs in the mother's womb when she is 10 weeks old and there is a vault of eggs that come out every month, 30-40 every month. Many years ago, we called 30-year-old girls old women and in the Tirana maternity hospital we called the 40-year-old pregnant woman a high-risk pregnancy for genetic problems, it is for normal birth problems, it is for other metabolic problems. Today, the conditions are unfavorable. Today we do not have clean water, we do not have clean meat. Milk is destroying the world. Milk has 10 hormones, 10 antibiotics inside. You eat an egg today when there are 1,000 chickens that do not come out, do not see the light of day. The meat is full of chemicals. The entire planet has been contaminated. "And this has had major consequences for infertility," the gynecologist added.
