World Cup turns into nightmare for Senegal, sexual harassment allegations raised

The Senegal national team has faced another unpleasant episode during the World Cup, after the team's chef was forced to leave the United States following allegations of sexual harassment against a female employee of the hotel where the delegation was staying.

The news was confirmed by the secretary general of the Senegalese Football Federation, Abdoulaye Saydou Sow, who explained that it was a preventive measure to avoid the involvement of American authorities and the consequences that the incident could have for the team.

According to him, the employee engaged in the US reported inappropriate behavior on the part of the chef, while the federation decided to repatriate her immediately to prevent the issue from escalating.

Sow emphasized that some behaviors that in Senegal may be considered common or joking, according to American legislation, are treated as sexual harassment, so the federation chose to act without delay to protect the image of the national team.
