Albanians have been in the streets for 2 weeks, Rama's heart is crying for

As thousands of citizens have been protesting in the squares for two weeks about corruption, poverty, immigration, and the scandals that have rocked the government, Prime Minister Edi Rama's main concern seems to be something else: the tourist season.

During the "Flasim" podcast, Rama stated that he has received complaints and messages from tourist operators, who according to him are reporting cancellations of reservations by foreign tourists due to the situation created by the protests.

"In Vlora, around 95% of those who own hotels, restaurants, and bars have joined the awareness-raising protest, asking for understanding so that the season is not damaged, because it is a direct damage to the family economy of many people related to tourism and it is a direct damage to the local economy and the national economy as a whole. That is, if we are going to stop Albania from receiving the money that would normally come in with a quiet tourist season, then I don't know whose benefit this is going to," Rama said.
