A serious accident was recorded at around 16:30 on the Korça-Ersekë road, in the village of Kamenicë, where a vehicle hit a mother and her minor son.

According to preliminary data, a "Nissan" vehicle, driven by citizen Sh. V., 76 years old, hit the pedestrians, citizen Sh. M., about 44 years old, and her son, about 3 years old.

As a result of the injuries sustained, the minor died in hospital, while his mother is under the care of doctors and is reported to be out of danger.

The driver of the vehicle has been escorted by the Traffic Police services to the Police Station, where procedural actions are being carried out.

Meanwhile, the investigation team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.
