Eglant Koç's disappearance/ Escape plan collapses, police alert

Investigations to uncover the fate of Eglant Koçi continue, while authorities are searching in several areas of Tirana for the person suspected of being the perpetrator of the crime, Armand Shakaj.

According to TIMS system data, Shakaj does not appear to have left the territory of Albania.

Meanwhile, the investigative group has learned that the 41-year-old suffers from a health problem, which has led the police to put public and private hospitals on alert.

The blue uniforms have requested the cooperation of medical personnel in case Shakaj presents himself for medical assistance.

In parallel, investigations have focused on the areas of Pëllumbas, Qafëmolla and Mali me Gropa, where it is suspected that Eglant Koç's body may have been buried. The searches have intensified after the testimonies of several residents of Pëllumbas, who have stated that they have seen Armand Shakaj's vehicle in this area.

Shakaj was initially questioned about the young man's disappearance, but then lost contact and disappeared without a trace. Suspicions against him increased after Eglant Koç's family identified him as the last person to have had contact with him.

The victim's family had known the 41-year-old for a long time, as Eglant's mother had worked at his bar. However, investigators have yet to determine what led the relationship between the two friends to a tragic end.

One of the leads being verified is related to possible activity in the field of cryptocurrencies, but so far there is no official version of the motive for the event.
