Eraldo Nevruzi was killed in Dhërmi, Greece refuses to extradite Gerald

Greek Justice Authorities have refused to extradite to Albania Gerald Shehu, the man accused by the Vlora prosecution for the murder of the waiter of the "Grecia" hotel, Eraldo Nevruzi, an event that occurred on June 6, 2024 in Dhërmi.

The extradition court has said "no" to the request of the Albanian Ministry of Justice for the extradition of Shehu to Albania, in order to face the serious charges that the Vlora prosecution has filed against him.

The argument of the Greek court was the claim of the arrested Gerald Shehu, that if he were extradited to Albania, his life would be in danger and the process against him would be prejudiced due to his origin as a Greek minority.

Journalist Elton Qyno has learned that, along with the decision to refuse extradition, the Greek court has also ordered his release from prison, allowing free movement within Greek territory of Gerald Shehu, accused of murder.

Shehu has been charged with "premeditated murder", "concealing or disposing of a corpse", committed in collaboration, and "unlicensed possession of weapons".

According to investigations conducted by the prosecution, the perpetrator of the gunshot murder of Eraldo Nevruz is the owner of the "Grecia" hotel, Gerald Shehu, who, just a few hours after the crime, immediately left for the island of Corfu in Greece.

As it is learned, Gerald Shehu was detained while trying to leave by plane to London. In connection with this serious incident involving Gerald Shehu, two other people, Daniel Qose and David Larti, were arrested in Vlora in 2024, who were prosecuted and cooperated with the police.

The charge against them is "hiding or disposing of a corpse", committed in collaboration, and "committing acts that reveal the truth".

The two above-mentioned individuals were employees of the "Grecia" hotel in Himara. Qose and Larti are accused of helping the owner Gerald Shehu to put the body of the victim Eraldo Nevruz in a garbage bag and then putting it in the trunk of the car.

During questioning, both expressed remorse, saying that they committed all of their actions after the owner threatened them with a gun.

They destroyed all evidence of the murder, burning the 31-year-old's personal belongings, phone and clothes in the hotel's pizzeria oven. While they hid Nevruz's lifeless body in some bushes in the Gjipesa canyon area. /Syri.net, Elton Qyno
