Balluku seeks reinstatement, Supreme Court draws lots for recourse

The High Court has drawn lots to consider the request of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku to lift her suspension from office. Judge Ilir Panda has been appointed rapporteur for the case.

The file will be reviewed in the consultation room, while the date of the hearing has not yet been determined.

Balluku appealed to the Supreme Court after her request to lift the security measure "suspension from duty" was previously rejected by the Special Court and the Special Appeal.

Meanwhile, in parallel with this process, SPAK has expanded the investigation against her. In addition to the allegations related to violations in tender procedures, the former official is also being investigated for corruption and money laundering.
