Prime Minister Edi Rama has continued his attacks on protesters and influencers, bloggers who have been part of the anti-government protests for 9 days, initiated by the project in Zvërnec.

From Shkodra, during the activity for the 35th anniversary of the Socialist Party, the head of government described the protests as an opportunity to gain more followers on social networks.

In a statement that is expected to further ignite public debate, Rama recounted a conversation with a public figure, who according to him had participated in the protest due to the interest the topic aroused on Instagram.

" I asked him why he went out. He said: I see Instagram, it becomes famous with likes and followers. They go out there to get followers ," Rama declared.

However, Rama insisted that objections to the project should not be based on emotions or social media campaigns, but on technical arguments and facts. According to him, anyone who is seriously concerned about the environment should listen to the explanations of experts.

" We have no reason to pretend to do everything well, but we are not traitors. Just think of how many thousands of people we saved from loneliness in the open sky and from the ruins of their lives that were destroyed in 30 seconds when the earthquake struck."

Just like when you look back and see what Albania was like. Imagine the Albanians 10 years ago emerging as free birds, but more proud. The Albanians who trusted us have not betrayed us.

"Those who are seriously concerned about Zvërnec, the environment, I say to you: Bujrum, listen to the arguments, the facts. You cannot say cancel the project when the project is being done. The project is not being done by influencers, a large group of people are working on it and they will not come to Albania to destroy it ," Rama said, among other things.
