Tirana/ Over 1 kg of heroin seized, two arrested

Tirana police have seized over 1 kilogram of suspected narcotics and arrested two people.

During the intervention carried out on "Prokop Mina" street, police services stopped a vehicle suspected of transporting drugs. From the search carried out on the vehicle and on the persons inside it, 1 kg and 71 grams of suspected heroin were found and seized as material evidence.

Two citizens were arrested: GM, 51 years old, resident of Tirana, and Zh. P., 35 years old, resident of Gjirokastër.

According to the police, it is suspected that the quantity of narcotics was intended to be distributed in small doses in various areas of the capital, mainly in New Tirana.
