Why does the government only invest offshore money in Albania?

Petrit Vasili

In Albania, behind every large private enterprise, but unfortunately also public, there are companies registered offshore.
Businessmen, drug or arms traffickers, mafiosi, the corrupt – a variety of people use offshore companies to hide their identities and activities.
Meanwhile, we see that in Albania, in private banks, in very large investments, in concessions, in public tenders, such phantom companies, with phantom people, with phantom money, appear without a break.
The big question that naturally arises:
Albania is in Europe, the most developed continent in the globe, with tens of thousands of well-known companies, with absolute reputations, that have been working for decades, but why are none of them in Albania?
Why do offshore companies always appear in every case when a lot of money is involved?
Why is the government afraid of companies with a high reputation and internationally recognized?
Why are no laws passed to prevent these dubious companies from benefiting from public funds or interests?
Just like in the incinerators in Zvernec, but also in important concessions, offshore contractors always appear in a flash.
The only disinfection of such a large corruption as this that has invaded the country is only transparency.
But the government, which is a participant and promoter of increasingly dark affairs, cannot stand transparency, so it worships offshore companies, where it is apparently also inside head and foot.
