The two young men who lost their lives in the tragedy that occurred on the coast of Shëngjin have been identified, after they were swept away by strong waves while bathing in the sea.
The victims are Leonid Alia from Fushë Kosova and Jetmir Çopa from Prishtina. According to the data, they were on the beach with three other friends when they were swept away by strong sea currents and were unable to reach the shore.
The other three young men were pulled out of the water thanks to the intervention of citizens with Jet Skis and Police services, and were urgently transported to the Lezha Regional Hospital, where they are receiving medical assistance.
Authorities have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the serious incident that shook the tourist area of Shëngjin.
