The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has described the judicial process against Ilir Meta as a "shameful farce" and a direct implementation of the orders of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

During his statement, Berisha claimed that the charges against Meta were filed on forged documents and that they have no legal basis or substance.

He accused the justice system of hiding evidence and documents that, according to him, would refute the charges.

Berisha invited the media to conduct investigations into the matter, insisting that the process against Meta is politically motivated.
