The Federation of North Macedonia excludes Shkëndija Tetovo from the Cup

The Football Federation of North Macedonia has taken strict disciplinary measures against Shkëndija e Tetovo after the Cup final, excluding the club from the next edition of this competition and imposing a significant financial fine.

The decision was made by the federation's disciplinary bodies, which assessed that several violations of the regulations were recorded during and after the match, despite the club's claims that the players were unaware of the call for the medal ceremony.

According to the decision, the Tetovo club was fined 15 thousand euros for using pyrotechnics in the stands, while another 10 thousand euros were related to chants and slogans considered inappropriate.

Another sanction of 20,000 euros has been imposed for a banner with content deemed Nazi by football authorities.

The most severe punishment is related to the refusal to accept medals after the match, for which Shkëndija was fined 30 thousand euros and excluded from the next season's Cup, with the justification that the match officials and the opposing team were not respected.
