International arms trafficking, GJKKO sentences three defendants to 8 years in

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) has announced the verdict in a case related to the trafficking of weapons and ammunition to the United Kingdom, where four people were defendants.

After reviewing the file using a summary trial procedure, the trial panel sentenced three of the defendants, while one of them was found not guilty.

According to the verdict, Adulla Hoxhaj was found guilty of attempted trafficking in weapons and ammunition, participation in a structured criminal group, and illegal possession of weapons and ammunition. He was initially sentenced to 13 years in prison, but due to the summary trial, the final sentence was reduced to 8 years and 8 months in prison.

Admir Tutaj and Boyken Turtulli were also found guilty of arms trafficking and participation in a structured criminal group. The court initially sentenced them to 12 years in prison each, but the benefit of a summary trial resulted in the sentence being reduced to 8 years in prison for each.

Meanwhile, Rifat Avdiaj was found not guilty of all charges. The court reasoned that his involvement in the criminal offenses he was accused of was not proven, ordering the lifting of the security measure of "prison arrest" and his immediate release, unless he was being held for some other legal reason.
