Bank robbery in Tirana, guard arrested: He did not act to neutralize the robber

A day after the robbery at a second-tier bank in Tirana, police have arrested the security guard of OTP Bank.

It is learned that the security guard is accused of not intervening at the time of the robbery and not acting to neutralize the perpetrator.

For this reason, the perpetrator was able to take around 10,000 pounds from a citizen while she was inside the bank premises making a deposit, as well as a sum of money from the bank's cash register.

The total amount of money stolen has not yet been disclosed.

Police are continuing investigations to identify and apprehend the perpetrator, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
