Hearing for the defendants in the Veliaj case, SPAK gives its claim

The Special Prosecution Office has filed today (June 3) in the Criminal Court of Albania (GJKKO) the claim for a separate faction of the file of the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, where the 8 defendants who requested a summary trial have been included, accused of being collaborators of the socialist official.

According to SPAK's claim, Veliaj's co-defendants were asked to:

-Fatmir Bektashi 1 year in prison/8 months in prison, public interest work suspension.

-His company "Kontakt shpk" fined 583 thousand lek.

-Ina Goxhaj with 7 years in prison, which is converted to 4 years and 8 months with a shortened sentence, with a suspended sentence and 5 years of probation.

-For businessman Elman Abule, 7 years, 4 years and 8 months were requested with a summary trial.

-For Frosina Bollo, 1 year in prison converted to 8 months.

-NGO "Frobolus" fined 500 thousand lek, converted to 333 thousand lek.

-Adela Kondakçi with 7 years in prison, reduced to 4 years and 8 months, exemption from the defendant's sentence.

-Former socialist MP Klotilda Bushka with a 600 thousand lek fine, converted to 400 thousand lek.

-Flutura Xhani with a fine of 60 thousand lek, converted to 40 thousand lek.

-And Fatjon Baçi 5 years in prison, converted with a shortened trial to 3 years 4 months, further suspension and transfer to probation.
