A citizen married for 30 years in Tirana, institutions declare her single!

A citizen married for 30 years in Tirana, institutions declare her single!

The show "Stop" dealt with this Friday, June 5, the denunciation of citizen Rudina Zaimi, who addressed the show "Stop" about an unusual problem.

She claimed that she was married to citizen Çlirim Zaimi in 1995, but in the civil status records she is single.

According to citizen Zaimi, she is originally from Maminas and was then a resident of Administrative Unit no. 7 in Tirana. The marriage, according to her, was registered at the former Civil Status Office of Unit no. 9, near the “Voice of the People” building.

However, today she does not appear married in any of the registers where she has requested information. Rudina says that she has been interested in Maminas and Skrapar, but she does not appear married anywhere.

"When I go to get the marriage certificate that I needed for the property work in the village, they told me it's not listed here, you don't have it here, you have it in Skrapar. I go to Skrapar, I can't find it, I'm not there, because I know I did it in Tirana."

She then went to Administrative Unit No. 7, where she also found no solution. The only document she has is a certificate issued years ago by Unit No. 9, which states that she is married and the mother of two children.

"I inquired at Unit 7 and they told me it was in Skrapar. I told them that I did not get a marriage certificate in Skrapar, I got it in Tirana even though my husband is from Skrapar."

Today, according to her, this office also denies the existence of the data. Rudina humorously says that she does not want the institutions to separate her from her husband, because even after 30 years she loves him.

"I'm in a family, I have two children, my son is 30 years old and my other is 27. I don't know why I'm not getting married, thank goodness I have the letter at least... I love that man, Ćlirim. No, my dear, I haven't changed my mind at all, no. I will protect my love at all costs, until it is found, because as long as I have the original letter, what is this? Find my marriage certificate, where have they taken it? Why aren't they giving it to me, what have they done? I want to pretend to be married."

In Administrative Unit No. 7, officials confirm that they have followed the case, but according to their verifications, Rudina is not married in the system.

According to them, a solution can only be sought through the court. The Municipality of Tirana considers that the issue goes beyond the competences of the local office and that a solution should be sought at the General Directorate of Civil Status.

Office Manager, Civil Registry 7:

-No matter how much time she spends up and down, Rudina should show her heart to the Court, because Rudina's marriage certificate was not kept at all.

-Odeta, you were present, you showed up, because...

-Based on the documentation collected from her husband's civil status office, from the verification that we did... I have done very thorough verifications, and I have found that when the transfer came, the husband in the municipality was single. Which means, I am not alluding, but there is no marriage certificate! The Municipality of Tirana, regardless of which unit, 8, 9 or 7, has checked the entire archive of the years '94, '95, '96 and the certificate was not found. In these cases, when the certificate is not found according to the civil code, the fact is certified by a court decision.
