Unusual denunciation from Shijaku: The Civil Registry made me a

Fiks Fare reported a problem with the Civil Registry on Thursday evening, where a citizen complained that they had mistakenly included a neighbor on the family certificate.

The citizen who was incorrectly registered in that family tree filed a lawsuit to correct her birth certificates, but the correction has not yet been made in the system, preventing the complainants from taking any action with mortgages, in the civil registry, or at the notary.

Elmaz Gjepali, the son of Feim and Mejte Gjepali from Shijak, has complained to the editorial office of the show Fiks Fare. Elmaz complains that another resident of Shijak has been mistakenly entered in the family tree, in his family certificates. He says that a citizen, E. Gjepali, born on March 10, 1992, appears in the family certificates and the mistake was made by the Civil Registry Office in Gjepalaj, Shijak.

He says that the citizen in question had the same father and last name as him, while the Civil Registry has changed the mother's name on the birth certificate. Elmazi continues that the citizen in question herself has filed a lawsuit at the Court of the Judicial District in Durres, where the correction of the birth certificate has been decided. The court has corrected the birth certificate, where instead of the mother's name "Mejte" the mother's name has been set to "Zeqine". The decision of the Court of Durres, dated March 1, 2011, which is final, has been filed at the Civil Registry office in Gjepalaj, or at other Civil Registry offices, where E.Gjepali was married.

But, this is exactly where the ordeal of the family of the complainant, Elmaz Feim Gjepali, began. His father, Feim, and his mother, Mejte, have passed away. Elmaz has requested the issuance of a certificate of inheritance and it turns out that in the family tree from 1991 (the year in which E. was not born) until 2012, the name of E. Gjepali appears in their family certificates, despite the fact that there is a final decision.

The citizen requests that her name be removed from every certificate throughout the years of the family tree, as her presence severely damages the interests of this family economically and morally, preventing it from operating in notary offices and state offices.

After the complaint, the citizen goes to the Civil Registry Office in Shijak to ask and fix the whole problem. The employee tells him that the mistake was made years ago and that it is impossible for her to enter the system and change the birth certificates. The employee tells him that that is all that that office can do currently, and that the actions in the registry are done by the General Directorate of Civil Registry.

The Civil Registry of Shijak, in a response to Fiks Fare, says that the history of this problem is linked to the birth certificate, where it was incorrectly registered with the mother's name Mejte and not Zeqine as he was born. This data was incorrectly entered by the Civil Registry officer Gjepalaj, due to the same name in the father's name, but with different mothers.

The court, says the Civil Registry, has decided to correct the birth certificate, changing the maternity. In response, this office adds that the correction is made only by the General Directorate of Civil Registry in Tirana. Fiks Fare addressed an official request to this directorate, which said it has ordered the correction of the register, addressing a letter to the operator who maintains this system. Top Channel
